Steam

Steam is a platform for digital distribution, digital rights management, a multiplayer game system and a social network created by Valve Corporation.
Steam allows you to manage multiple applications from your Steam interface, it also provides a lot of social functions - lists of friends, groups or records in the cloud protecting us from losing our game data, voice calls and chat.
Steam also includes network functions, achievements, micropayments and support for creators at Steam Workshop.
At first, Steam was used only to manage applications from Valve (Half Life, Counter Strike) and modifications created to them, but over time the platform expanded its activity and became software that also distributed games from other manufacturers. In the following years, it was successfully extended by Steam Greenlight, Rynek Kultury, Steam Cloud or Steam Workshop.
